I was irritated about the breakup because to me it seemed tacked on for the sake of the season ending on some kind of cliffhanger and since they only officially got together in the last episode! But I’d be more upset about the S/C break up if I thought for a second it was a permanent split. This episode did do a good job of showing that Schmidt has some pretty major insecurities in regards to his relationship to Cece. Hopefully next season we’ll see him working on those issues and realizing that Cece wants to be with him and he can make her happy. These two scream endgame to me so I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m positive they’ll find their way back to each other.
